| Fill Perforator |

Geotech has developed a simple fill perforator to make it possible to take soil and ground water samples, and to install sensors under road or railroad banks.
The perforator consists of a tip and a casing. Assembled, the perforator is augered through fills with the help of the rotary head of a drill rig.
The tip opens a hole and pushed the casing tube after it. When the needed depth is reached, the tip is retrieved and the casing tube left in place for the duration of the project. In order to avoid that the casing comes up when taking up soil samples, the casing tube is locked in place with the plate underneath the rig mast.
