Augers
The Geotech range of augers includes sampling, perforation, Soil/rock augers and soil anchors. They are available in large range models and dimensions.

Sampling augers:
The edge of the first three flights is hard metal welded. To reduce the required pulling force when taking soil samples, a steel plate can be welded between the first and second flight. This plate will isolate the sampled material and will cut smaller root systems.

Soil/rock augers:
The edge of the first three flights is hard welded and the rod has a wrench fitting of 39 mm. The Soil/Rock auger has a female thread upwards to reduce the risk of damaging the shank adapter that would be the case with a male thread because of the wedge effect.
The Soil/Rock auger can be delivered with a male thread at its lower end to attach a drill bit. It protects the auger and drills through fills and hard layers.

Perforation augers:
The perforation augers are available in two models:
1) With a fish tail made with hard metal plates.
2) With a shovel shaped tip, reinforced with hard metal welding. The parts are assembled with a hexagonal adapter to allow some freedom of movement or to assemble several augers.
Both auger models are designed for use in rough material such as gravel (stone size up to 1/3 of the diameter) and asphalt or frozen grounds. The auger with a shovel shaped tip is easier to use in coarser material as it does not get blocked by larger stones as with the fish tail auger.

Soil anchors:
The newly designed soil anchors from Geotech, named HEX, are extended with hexagon connections that will handle large torques. The point on the anchor is in hardened steel that will cut through harder layers until the auger grip.
